Dr. Bernard Dahan was born in Algiers, grew up and completed his high
school studies in France. Being active and a guide in the Zionist youth
movements, he always saw the Land of Israel as an idealistic destination for
his future.
After completing dental studies with honors in France (Toulouse, 1976), he
specialized in periodontics (gum medicine) at the University of Marseille
(1978). Upon immigrating to Israel and after a fruitful professional medical
activity in the Galilee, Tzfat. In addition, Dr. Dahan went to study in Boston,
the United States.
On his return, in 1985, he established the clinic in Haifa, which deals with
periodontal diseases and became one of the pioneers in the field of
implantology (dental implants).

Moria Specialists Clinic was established in 2000 with the addition of new experts. The clinic is the first center in Israel to have multiple periodontics specialists working together. Today, several specialist doctors work together in full cooperation and according to the original medical philosophy of Dr. Dehan.
Throughout the years, Dr. Dehan has actively participated in training courses and conferences around the world to maintain the highest and most up-to-date professional level. Among other things, he completed training at Tel Aviv University in hypnosis (2003).
Numerous training courses in Santa Barbara (USA) and Tokyo (Japan) in the field of microsurgery have made the clinic a pioneer in the use of microscopes in periodontal surgery. Recently, Dr. Dehan has focused his activity on implant placement with real-time navigation (robotic dentistry), especially in the aesthetic area and plastic surgery of the smile line, using a minimally invasive approach. He regularly lectures to various groups in Israel and abroad.
In collaboration with the clinic’s doctors, Dr. Dehan is active in writing articles and columns for the MPC NEWS newspaper, published by the clinic several times a year. He takes part in the Moria Study Club meetings and various courses that the clinic organizes for its colleagues, dentists and periodontists in the north.

Interests Beyond Periodontics
How unfortunate that we only live once, because I had other plans besides periodontics. For example… architecture, art, music, teaching… maybe even communication consulting? I’m interested in getting to know different cultures, traveling and learning new languages, and for me, flying is a tool for discovering new horizons. Blue is my favorite color, like the deep blue of the Aegean Sea in Greece. Listening to authentic Greek music and playing Shlomo Artzi and The Beatles songs on the guitar makes me happy.
I am curious to discover the secret of the “smile”, what are the bio-physiological, social and educational processes that influence the occurrence of a smile, especially when we know the power of a smile. The connection with people and the acquaintance that is created with each person and their world is very dear to me. I believe that positive communication is the power and the key to all doors, and perhaps this is the explanation for the optimism in me to love life, because it is beautiful.
